Look Your Best

Select the Right Clothing

Hair

White or Pastel colors are good for lighter backgrounds.   Plan to wear your hair in a style you are comfortable with.
Casual clothes in darker earth tones work best for outdoor photographs.   Avoid new hair cuts or styles.
Solid colors are ideal for formal portraits
Avoid large prints or patterns that distract from the face.

Guys

Choose long sleeved shirts or sweaters rather than short-sleeved.   Remove A fresh shave is a must! If you have a beard or mustache, make sure it is neatly trimmed.

Girls

Families

Keep your make-up natural and fresh.

Family groups look best when they are dressed in the same color scheme. Avoid patterns and large prints. Avoid one person wearing a bright color, the eye will be drawn to that person.

Glasses

If you wear glasses, wear them for your portrait, but you might want to consider having the lenses removed to avoid glare.
